Celebrate National Afternoon Tea Week at Royal Crown Derby

During National Afternoon Tea Week (14-20 August), why not join us in the 1750 Tea Room and have Afternoon Tea Your Way, a specially-selected menu of choice at £25.00 for two.

No booking essential, parking onsite and you choose your afternoon tea to suit you. Experience the Royal Crown Derby Visitor Centre with its museum, exhibition and retail shop selling best quality and slightly imperfect fine bone china tableware, giftware and collectables.



Bamfords Antiques Valuation Day
Wednesday 5th September 2018 - 10am - 12pm
1750 Tea Room  

Bamford Auctioneers hold, on the first Wednesday of every month, a valuation morning in the 1750 Tea Room so bring any items of interest for a free valuation.


The Embroiderers’ Guild Display
13th, 14th & 15th September 2018 10am – 4pm
1750 Tea Room

The Derby Embroiderers' Guild will be in residence over three days in September showcasing a display of their work together with members demonstrating their stitching skills and craftsmanship in the 1750 Tea Room at Royal Crown Derby.

No charge and no booking required with parking onsite.

Why not make a day of it and join us to learn all about embroidery, experience the Visitor Centre including a museum and exhibition with special offers in the 1750 Tea Room to purchase. Group bookings welcome.


Behind the Scenes at Royal Crown Derby
Wednesday 26th September 2018 - 11am - 2.30pm
Royal Crown Derby Museum

A rare opportunity to see the fascinating Royal Crown Derby archives and stores.

Come along and meet our curator and team of volunteers working behind the scenes. NADFAS volunteers will be demonstrating how they are lovingly recording and cleaning every document in the archives. You will also have the chance to see the Osmaston Road pattern books up close and to find out more about how we keep track of our precious objects.

Enjoy a buffet lunch before embarking on a tour of the factory with one of our expert guides. £20 per person to include lunch and a £5.00 voucher to spend in the retail shop on a minimum spend of £50, valid for Royal Crown Derby products purchased on the day only.

For this event, the museum archives are situated up two small flights of stairs. Wheelchairs are available to be booked for the factory tour.

Macmillan Coffee Morning
Friday 28th September 10am – 12noon

Royal Crown Derby are delighted to be hosting a Macmillan Coffee Morning in support of the charity in the 1750 Tea Room.

We will be offering either a cafetiere of coffee or a pot of tea together with a slice of cake, served on fine bone china, for the special offer price of £4.00 per person.  ALL takings during 10am and 12noon will be donated to Macmillan.

Please join us in supporting this worthy cause and we will offer you free parking onsite, daily newspapers and daily onscreen news with no booking required.

Make a day of it and experience the Royal Crown Derby Visitor Centre, offering a museum of Derby Porcelain, an exhibition and a retail shop offering best quality and slightly imperfect seconds tableware, giftware and collectables.
