JUNE

Bamford Auctioneers hold, on the first Wednesday of every month, a valuation morning in the 1750 Tea Room so bring any items of interest for a free valuation.

 

Experience Wimbledon at Royal Crown Derby
Monday 2nd July - Saturday 14th July 2018 - 10.00am- 4.00pm

Wimbledon begins on the 2nd July until the 14th July so why not join us in the 1750 Tea Room to watch the matches live whilst taking a special Wimbledon Cream Tea?

The Wimbledon Cream Tea includes Strawberries and Whipped Cream, Scones with a Pimms essence and either a pot of Tea or a cafetiere of Coffee.

Price: £8.00 per person.

Why not indulge this tennis season! No booking required, and for those who fancy the Cream Tea but not the matches, we offer daily newspapers to read as well as free parking (inc. coach parking) onsite..

An in-depth look at the Royal Crown Derby Pattern Books with our curator.  See the Osmaston Road pattern books up close, marvel at the intricate vase designs of Desire Leroy and discover the fascinating stories behind the patterns.

£10 per person to include a cream tea

For this event, the museum archives are situated up two small flights of stairs.

Royal Crown Derby are delighted to present William Hanson, etiquette expert who will be hosting two sessions on Afternoon Tea Etiquette at the Visitor Centre during Afternoon Tea Week.

William has a wealth of knowledge on the subject of etiquette which takes him around the world providing first-class training, as well as being a trusted advisor to many private households, embassies and high commissions, businesses, cultural organisations and schools alike, having also worked for numerous VIPs and dignitaries. 

He has also worked with well-known luxury global brands, written a book, contributes to global media and offers expert etiquette programmes for guests staying at The Ritz, London.

With such impressive credentials, Royal Crown Derby would like to give you the opportunity of meeting with William to learn all about afternoon tea etiquette, including a factory tour, browse the museum and exhibition, 10% off in the retail shop and afternoon tea with Willliam Hanson.

Behind the Scenes at Royal Crown Derby
Wednesday 26th September 2018 - 11am - 2.30pm
Royal Crown Derby Museum

A rare opportunity to see the fascinating Royal Crown Derby archives and stores. 

Come along and meet our curator and team of volunteers working behind the scenes. NADFAS volunteers will be demonstrating how they are lovingly recording and cleaning every document in the archives. You will also have the chance to see the Osmaston Road pattern books up close and to find out more about how we keep track of our precious objects.

Enjoy a buffet lunch before embarking on a tour of the factory with one of our expert guides. £20 per person to include lunch and a £5.00 voucher to spend in the retail shop on a minimum spend of £50, valid for Royal Crown Derby products purchased on the day only.

For this event, the museum archives are situated up two small flights of stairs. Wheelchairs are available to be booked for the factory tour.

Derby Porcelain Society AGM and Autumn Meeting

The programme for the day will include specialist speakers and an open forum where you are invited to bring along items for discussion.

Refreshments are served on arrival and a two-course lunch is included.
