This beautiful Princess tableware pattern has appeared at various periods in the history of the company. It is now re-launched in shades of green and gold. Originally known as 'puce scroll' or 'purple scroll', the earliest version of the pattern dates back to 1970. In 1947 when the Princess Elizabeth got married the pattern was re-named Princess in her honour. A tea service for twenty four was presented to Princess Elizabeth on the occasion of her marriage. This service is still in use at Windsor castle to this day.

This extraordinary new lion, with its fierce facial expression is the result of a massive team effort between everyone involved in the making of it at the Royal Crown Derby.

Designers Carmen Roome and June Banscombe worked together on the intricate design as well as working closely with sculptor Mark Delf to ensure that the shape was perfect for this new design. A particular attention was paid to the sculpting of the mouth to allow for the vivid red tongue.

Carmen also worked closely with hand painters Jane Etherington and Jackie Morrison, as due to the tricky nature of this piece the lion's yellow coat and red crown had to be painted by hand the achieve the exact look that was desired.

Issued in a very exclusive limited edition of just 250 pieces with a special numbered certificate.

The Queen's beasts, The Lion and the Unicorn have been commission to jointly celebrate the Queen's Diamond Jubilee and the 60th Anniversary of the Coronation this year. They are amongst the most prestigious pieces we have ever produced. Each piece contains a high degree of delicate modelling and hand painting to achieve the perfect colour. The Lion's Cross and the Unicorn's Horn are cast in gold plated metal. The prolific pairing of Donald Brindley and Tien Manh Dinh have once again captured the beauty of nature, and the production team have tested their skills to manufacture a paperweight measuring 23.5cm high for this limited edition of jus 300 pieces.
Donald's model shows the owl sitting patiently waiting for its next meal to make a sound or movement that will alert it to its presence. Tien has studied the wing patterns and facial expressions and recreated the complex feathers and their beautiful colours of buff, peach, grey and gold.

Smith of Derby’s luxury brand – a gold plated Whitehurst movement, unique in the world of horology movements, finished with a bone china dial, combine to create a unique piece. This timepiece is destined to become a personalized ‘celebration clock’ for any unique and special occasion
The bone china dial and cameo is decorated in wonderful Royal Crown Derby hand finished livery designed by June Branscombe. The Sweet Briar Rose, a lovely old fashioned wild pink bloom, represents Catherine as an English rose, emerging from the marriage of the sweethearts as a Princess. The Shell is a central emblem of the coat-of-arms of Prince William and Wheat explores the fertility and fruitfulness of the joining together and a sheath of wheat is the traditional symbol for weddings. It also symbolises plenty, a wish for the future prosperity of the country. A ribbon and bow ties the knot. On the cameo is the monogram - intertwined C and W, with Prince William’s Coronet above. Finally, a symbol of heraldry is depicted by the circlet of gold showing on the outside with two strawberry leaves, two fleur-de-lis and a central cross patty. This new, 7 day weight-driven timepiece, with its design based on the original turret clocks of the 17th and 18th century, incorporates much of the original engineering found in well known Whitehurst pieces. It is meticulously hand built, piece-by-piece, marrying new technology and three hundred year old techniques. Wheels, crafted in brass, have been carefully hand-polished through an eight-stage process and finished in a protective, 24 carat gold, to ensure a flawless result that can only be achieved through original techniques.

Ashbourne is inspired by blue and gold patterns from the early Derby pattern books. The full in-glaze blue border has been highly fired to produce a deep rich colouring that changes with different lighting. The simplicity of the plain blue and gold patterned borders is a classic look, which will suit simple, contemporary settings as well as the more traditional. The pattern mixes easily with gold and white as well as more decorative florals.
