ChildLine celebrates 25 years of helping vulnerable youngsters this year and to celebrate this significant achievement 86 artists have been commissioned to turn the humble phone box into a work of art.
Artist Che Franz, the creator of the very regal One’s Mobile, contacted Royal Crown Derby to ask for tableware to be donated to accessorise his phone box.
Here at Royal Crown Derby we were more than happy to support such a worthy cause and have donated some of our extremely popular Diamond Jubilee collection to be used in the project.
Sales and Marketing Director, Simon Willis commented: “We are delighted to be able to contribute to such a worthy cause and given Che’s regal theme, the Diamond Jubilee collection was the perfect fit.”
Fifteen of the boxes are to be auctioned by Sotheby’s at the National Portrait Gallery on the 18th July with all the proceeds raised going to ChildLine.
